I hired a 9 seater van from enterprise for a five-day period. When I found the office the adviser was really good, however they didn't have a van for me. They said they would get one in 15 minites and did only to find it was manual not automatic. Another 20 mins and I finally had the van. On Sunday three-days in two lights came on. According to manual as one was the air bag it told me not to drive it. I called and was told I could take it to a local enterprise near Bideford who would deal with the issue or exchange. I went in on the following day Monday who said they had no replacement van, but if I drove slowly it should be okay. I drove it back to Gatwick and saw the same agent, who was apologetic and said they would refund a days hire as goodwill. I did not receive a closing email for the hire and when I spoke to customer service all I got was 'I've sent a form to the Area Mgr' he will be in touch in a couple of days. A week later nothing.....
Enterprise Gatwick, we had to wait 40 mins for the car even though it’s booked. That’s fine since they upgraded the car.
They have overcharged us twice for the car rental and it takes 3 operators to deal with it and still didn’t get anything even they admitted they double charged . They promised 2-5 working days ….. yet nothing. Asked for invoice , nothing til 8 days after.

Given a far less superior car than booked. Smaller and more basic. Customer service didn’t resolve this and gave me false info online about car sizes that I was easily able to google and check. Management also told me the website is advertising a car that they don’t have and haven’t had for quite some time.
Super easy experience from start to finish. Checked in online, the gentleman who met us in the morning was so polite and helpful, then a lovely young girl took us to our car and was so lovely and explained everything thoroughly. We had one tiny issue where the seat would only move so far forward, but we managed to drive with absolutely no problems. On returning the car the young man who we dealt with was amazing super friendly. Very positive experience all round.
I have returned a few cars to here over the last 9 months while I have been waiting for a new company car.
1st time they tried to charge me for a damaged tire, luckily I took a video of the car when it was delivered, it was delivered damaged.
2nd time what appeared to be a rubber seal came of the bottom of the car and they tried to say it was damage on the roof, nothing was said when I swapped it due the electrical smoke smell in the car, only a email asking for money the next working day, again lucky I took the video.
So I dont know if the team here are just out to con people for a bonus or just some other reason.
